I should write more (and not just Yelp reviews or memos).
It keeps me focused and I like goal setting. So here it is.
The goal of this fitness journal is to keep me motivated and focused. When I was training for my first half-marathon, I began to read lots of weight loss/running/fitness blogs, so I guess it inspired me to start this one.
Since I’m training for my first marathon, I need it more than ever. However, I want to focus on overall healthy living and choices. Since my first half marathon in the fall, I’m finding that I do make healthier choices. I’m far from perfect and I love my pork chops and hamburgers – I’m just more conscious of the choices I make.
Anyways, here are my goals for this blog:
- keep me honest- knowing that others could possibly read this only gives me motivation to stay on top of my fitness game
- a place to discuss my musings on training and such
- drag some of my friends to run/workout with me – I’m good at peer pressure so I’ve gotten my sister and my friend, Melissa, to start running but I need more peeps to join me for races. I hate going to races alone!
