About a month ago, I got these shoes to review! I was pretty excited. I’ve never actually bought Mizuno’s before but I’ve heard good things. I’ve experimented with 3 other brands before so this was exciting, running in Mizuno’s.
About the Shoe
It’s a lightweight, neutral running shoe for both men and women. These come in 4 different colors and I’m so happy I chose the purple and green! I wear a lot of purple so it goes with everything.
They are the average price of running shoes ($120) and if you haven’t worn Mizuno’s before, they have an awesome tool on their website, which compares your sizes in other brands to theirs. For example, I wear an 8.5 in Asics but the Mizuno tool said that I should wear a 9 in their shoes. (I ended up ordering an 8.5 and I’m glad I did. It’s the perfect fit.)
So I really wanted to run in these shoes for the Brooklyn Half (because it matched the purple outfit I had on that day #priorities). Except I didn’t for one reason – I truly need more (shoe) support.

I’ve bought lightweight, neutral shoes before and they just don’t stabilize me as well. Also, I have tendonitis in my left foot that acts up when I wear neutral shoes while running.
The longest run I’ve run in these shoes is 5 miles and they are so lightweight. I don’t feel like I’m running with bricks on my feet (like the stability sneakers). They may be the lightest shoes I’ve ever worn for a run. Plus they felt airy and not so stuffy like my other running shoes. These are also very comfortable and cushy (without the weight) and perfect for my treadmill runs.

So even though, these aren’t going to be my half-marathon shoes, they are great for my treadmill runs and shorter runs. If you’re looking for a neutral, lightweight running shoe, this shoe is perfect for you.
