I love the fall. I love it. It is hands down my favorite season of the year. The fall is always my busiest time of the year. It clearly has been since I haven’t been blogging quite as much. Especially after coming back from Europe. Anyways, here are my updates…
If we were having coffee today…I’d tell you that I haven’t been climbing outdoors as much. It only happened twice these past two months and that’s shocking given the fact that I was always outdoors this spring and summer.
I also planned a few hikes but all of those times have fallen through. I’ve oddly been around the city these past few weekends instead of running away to the great outdoors.

If we were having coffee today….I’d tell you how much I’ve loved flag football this season. I only started playing back in May and was a free agent on a few different teams (meaning I basically knew no one on the team). This season I finally joined a team where I knew most of the people on the team. It makes such a difference because it’s just so fun knowing everyone and the communication is just better on the field.
Sadly I think I sprained something in my hand when I tried catching the ball during a game. After a few weeks, the pain finally subsided but I hadn’t been climbing as much because of it.
If we were having coffee today….I’d tell you I placed 1st in a bouldering competition. Of course it was the beginner division. I honestly hate bouldering and it freaks me out because of the whole ankle situation. (Yes, in case you’re wondering, I do still ice my ankle from time to time). As much as I hate bouldering, I do love competitions. They’re just fun plus competition problems (to me at least) are incredibly fun to climb and much more creative than
Also, I’ve won so many chalk bags, its hilarious.

If we were having coffee today….I’d tell you when it rains, it pours. The fall is busy. I love being busy with everything – not just one thing. Work has been super busy even before I left for vacation. When things are stressful, I like distracting myself with other things but in a hyper productive type of way. The past few weeks I’ve felt like I haven’t been working out quite as much but I’ve been just exhausted. I’m partially to blame (why on earth would I learn how to knit during one of my busiest months of the year). Maybe going on 4 dates in a week is overkill when you’re in court most of the week. (#cuffingseasonishere). As one of my good friends said recently, “I know I’m living my best life right now but this is so exhausting.” It might be the adrenaline from one thing pushing me to be hyper productive in other areas but I’ve always been the type who enjoyed being really busy.
If we were having coffee today….I’d tell you that I go into Martha Stewart mode in the fall. As soon as it starts to get cold outside, I’m cooking and baking more than I ever have all summer. I’ve been experimenting with recipes for Friendsgiving and other dinner parties I’ve had to attend.
Plus with the cold weather, I’ve gotten really into knitting and crocheting (shoutout to youtube for teaching me how to do things). I’ve made so many scarves, hats and currently working on a sweater.
If we were having coffee today…I’d tell you that I’m super excited for the holiday season. I love Thanksgiving especially. Plus very excited to leave for Asia after Christmas! Also very excited to crochet everyone’s holiday presents this year (which sounds weird to say but I’ve made one too many hats and scarves for myself).
